Gordon Stuart was born in Canada in 1924 and has lived in Wales since 1952. He now lives and works in Swansea although he has previously lived in Ferryside and had a home in Llanstephan. He is a highly regarded portrait and landscape painter having won numerous awards and prizes for both his oils and water colours. Five of his portraits hang in the National Portrait Gallery including the last ever portrait of Dylan Thomas.
