Welsh language sampler Sold
A late 19th century Welsh wool sampler worked by Sarah Harries in 1886, with cherries and roses, in its good original mahogany frame, and with a Bible text in Welsh “Mae’r testun Beiblaidd yn y Gymraeg yn darllen Iesu Grist, ddoe a heddiw yr un, ac yn dragywydd” Translated it reads: “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever”
