A fine pair of Welsh oak hall chairs made by David Morley, Cabinet Maker, Lammas St, Carmarthen.
Carmarthen circa 1830
There are identical chairs at Carmarthen Guild Hall and Carmarthen county museum.
“The late 18th & early 19th century Cabinet-making and Upholstery business was dominated in Carmarthen by David Morley, the father-figure of the trade” taken from “Cabinet-making in Carmarthenshire” by Luke Millar, published by The Carmarthenshire Antiquary xxxvi 2000.
