Happy times in Hampshire
Mon. June 1, 2015
We spent a happy time in Lymington on the edge of the New Forest over half term, with our much loved friends Mary and Rhys and Arthur dog. They took us to visit Buckler’s Hard on the Beaulieu river, which was just the job for three young children to run around and enjoy the museum’s exhibits.
Although, we were subject to the limited attention span of a four and five year old. The eight year old is pretty good at looking around on her own. A good shop is essential for little ones to spend their holiday pocket money, and the shop at Buckler’s Hard had a very friendly lady who gave our three a chocolate coin with each of their purchases.
Earlier in the day we had a good lunch at the excellent family friendly Feathweather’s garden centre in Beaulieu. Altogether a very successful trip albeit too short a time to enjoy the company of good friends.
